2017 VCC Award Winner – Presented By Guff Muench

AED of BC is Pleased to present our first Internally Directed to Scholarship award to Emily Haugen!

Emily’s Bio: Emily is going on her second year as a business student at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, studying towards a bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurial leadership, in hopes of one day establishing an environmental protection business. She is an active KPU volunteer, and a member of the Coverdale-Langley City Constituency Youth Council, whose goal this year is to focus on environmental initiatives while working towards tackling youth homelessness in 2018. Emily is passionate about promoting the youth vote, and influencing youth to participate in the Canadian democratic system, and was recently selected as the Vancouver representative at the Global Vision National Youth Caucus at Parliament Hill in Ottawa.
Next spring, she plans to travel to London England and do 6 months of schooling at the University of Creative Arts. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, hiking, and painting.
